Jakhu temple (Part 3)

She was never a very brave girl…inside. Outside she was all strong and adamant…inside she was weak. She looked for support since her childhood. Maybe it was this yearning for support that made her religious. She had deep faith in God and had many a times felt blessed and cared for.

For some reason, she felt that gods do listen even if they cant help. She felt she could ask for help, blame, fight or simply cry on their shoulders.

The prospect of proposal not working out was very scary. And she felt there is nothing much she could do, because this client was rude and stern. She felt scared to talk to him even though on the outside she always spoke to him confidently, in polite business-like manner.

As she got down from her taxi, she saw the statue standing majestically at 8500 ft. It was cloudy in the hills today and there was a chill in the wind. Her eyes grew misty. She needed help.

“Please father…please…let everything be all right…and I will visit you…with sweets…your favourite one’s”…The silent prayer was said as she climbed the bus…

She leaned from her window and saw the statue for the one last time. and something in her heart whispered…it’s all going to be all right….
